Healer Coworking, Mental Fitness Facilities & Community Memberships
The Portland Healing Center
How Can We Help?
The Portland Healing Center is a coworking space for therapists, a mental fitness center, and a community resource coming in 2025.
A range of membership options for both Healers and the public will open the Center’s doors to anyone interested in healing, growing, studying consciousness – or just connecting to neighbors and colleagues in a beautiful environment. It is a space for people to come together in the real world, in person.
PHC will host Classes and Workshops with a special focus on emerging and lesser-known mental health tools, emerging technologies, and therapies that may face stigma or misunderstanding. Tremendous advances in neuroscience, psychology, and technology are being leveraged into tools and techniques far more sophisticated than many people realize. These tools often build on the ancient wisdom of our ancestors, and we believe they are gifts. We find the growing intersections between modern science and ancient knowledge fascinating.
Upon opening, the PHC Facilities will include a Light Sauna, a Sound Bath, and a Thermal Contrast Suite, and over a dozen other emerging, cutting-edge devices, technologies, and treatments available to members and all neighbors.
We believe that uplifting healers and bringing them together with others in beautiful, nurturing spaces will catalyze far-reaching changes within our communities and in our own lives.
What is Mental Fitness?
Mental fitness is the intentional cultivation of a resilient, agile, and focused mind that thrives even in hard times. It’s not just about treating mental illness, but about strengthening the foundations allowing us to navigate life with grace, adaptability, and gratitude. It helps some people recover, and helps everyone build compassion, better equipped to do the hard work of helping others while nurturing ourselves. Just like a physically fit body help prevent illness and recover from it, mental fitness helps us thrive, and bounce back from setbacks large and small.
PHC Leadership
PHC will be led by Center Director Sara Garrett and what we’re calling our Lead Healer – a highly-regarded Chief Medical Officer & Naturopath with a background in Mental Health. PHC’s Advisory Board is convening to conduct a formal far-reaching search to find a truly exceptional individual for this starring role. The Center’s Lead Healer will be a crucial, central, and highly-visible position, engaging in public policy development, advocacy, education, and public awareness campaigns. If you or someone you know would like to be considered for the position we encourage you to submit your resume to sara@portlandhealing.org.
